CESD has officially become the Center for Responsible Travel. Although our name has changed, our mission remains the same: To transform the way the world travels.

December 6, 2008: Travelers' Philanthropy Conference a Success!

November 10, 2008:

November 1, 2006:

As a follow-up to discussions and decisions from the indigenous ecotourism workshop in Quito in September 2006, CESD pledges to support efforts by workshop participants in planning a second meeting in Chiapas, Mexico in 2007. To learn more, please click here.


September 7-9, 2006:

CESD unites indigenous leaders from across Latin America for a workshop in Quito, Ecuador, on ecotourism and indigenous communities. Groundbreaking results include the formation of an indigneous tourism network.


August 18, 2006:

CESD and partners INCAE and Environmental Defense present findings from our study Cruise Tourism in Belize and preliminary results from our study on the cruise industry in Costa Rica and Honduras.


August 6, 2006:

CESD presents findings from Cruise Tourism in Belize to government officials and local stakeholders at a widely attended forum in Belize City.


July 1, 2006:

David Krantz joins CESD as the new DC Coordinator


April 21, 2006:
